Tightwad Survival

Let's talk about using coupons on items, especially food. I never really liked coupons, but in tight times, they help. Coupons are usually found in the Sunday paper along with other ads. It pays to look both at store flyers and coupons you can use. If you save more than you paid for the paper, then they are well worth it. If you manage to get the coupons for free, that would be an extra bonus. You can do it, but it takes a little patience and effort on your part. Aside from online coupons, you can find newspaper coupons in the recycling bins put out by neighbors on trash day and also found in many businesses. Since most people recycle newspaper, the coupons and flyers are sure to be there...even with some missing. Coupons do add up and if they are doubled, that is yet another bonus! Coupons, of any kind that you use, really do help in saving money.
Brown bagging it to work, helps me out, too. Taking your lunch to work beats buying it at a restaurant and fast food. It's healthier and saves you money. Also bring your own coffee and drinks.
I found that carpooling does save you money. It also makes the driver a few extra bucks, and that is the whole idea.
Sometimes we need to research our own personal needs for ways to save money. Today, I have a great site that has something to help everyone save some money. It's a Money Saving Tips Directory.
