Money Sites For Know-It-Alls and Writers

When I first got a computer many years ago, my goal was to make money with it. Soon you find that most are scams and there are no get-rich-overnight sites. Believe it or not, though, many years ago there were sites that you could make money at.
My first really good money making site was Epinions. The premise was to write reviews of products, and depending on your ratings, hits, web of friends, etc., you would make money. Back in the day getting hits was easy and so was the cash. Some claimed 5 figures a year(as discussed on their boards at the time), I made a few hundred one year, nothing I would retire on. At the time there were scams going on at the site where some were using different logins from other computers just to raise their ratings and make money. Things changed after 2001, when Epinions started cleaning house, and it took many more hits to make a buck!
Either way Epinions is still alive today, and although partially based on the old way, it may reward better. It is currently having a promo to get $10 for 10 reviews. Now here are some things to avoid. Don't plagerize or use and copy the ENTIRE owner's manual as a guide for writing a review. Detailed reviews get better ratings. Just give your opinion, thus Epinions, and you'll start getting hits and making money.
Best topics are electronics, games, computers, cameras, and cars. Just go on a tour before you begin!
I just heard about Daytipper on a local news program. It is based on the concept that 'everybody is an expert at something!' You submit a tip and if they publish it they pay $1(US) for each tip. How much are you making now, Mr. Know-It-All? Remember only published ones get paid, but judging from some that are published it's not too hard if you know things about stuff.
Like to write about a variety of genres? This is by US might be a site for you. It even pays you too comment. Sometimes you can make more commenting than writing. Hint:more popular the writer you comment at, the better the chances of making money.
If you thought of freelance writing, this site gives advice along with links that may help everybody. Scroll down to end.
Ehow pays to write detailed how-to step-by-step articles.
Payment varies according to time, effort, knowledge and content. I wouldn't quit my day job, but why not make a few extra bucks doing what I like to do?!!!
