If You Can Make It There...

New York City is perhaps one of the most expensive places to live in the USA. They say that "If you can make it there, you can make it anywhere!" Now if this is true maybe we can learn some ways to financially make it anywhere. Here's someone who lives on what she earns and can even save some money along the way!
Since I don't live in NYC, I can trim the fat further with things I do already. II brown bag my meals to work, meaning breakfast, lunch and snacks, plus my drinks. On occasion I will buy a meal or a coffee. I do have a savings account that I have no ATM access to and I try to save at least $50 a month for emergencies. Entertainment and clothing have been a big cutback for me. My cellphone is pay as you go. My internet is cheap since I still use the telephone....although I may update soon. For food, I use coupons and save on gas at some grocery stores. I do the bulk of my grocery shopping at one grocery store, but I go to others for the cheaper items.
Although some restrictions apply, you can get great deals for dining out at Restaurant.com. I found over twenty participating in my area alone!
