Easy Saving Tips
April 25th 2010 16:18
If you're like me or anybody else, you probably aren't saving enough or not at all. As quick as our world is changing, it is getting harder to save and rising prices in everything from fuel to food isn't helping!
Saving is something everyone is going to have to discipline themselves to do. Now more than ever we must distinguish between our needs and wants or else we are doomed to fail.
Along with saving loose change in the jar, think of starting to save loose $1s and $5s.
When you get a raise or work overtime set that money aside. Set your federal refunds aside in a savings, too.
Take your own lunch to work to avoid eating out.
Pay bills as soon as they arrive.
Pay with cash and checks.
Here's some tips that may help.
Sometimes you have to assess your situation. It may be worth buying in bulk for a family of 4 or more. Otherwise set up a pantry with canned and non-perishable goods.
Stop buying bottled water and use tap instead.
Shop once a week.
Use coupons.
Carpool. Make money if you drive or save money if you ride...OR take turns and break even.
Make your own coffee at home or work instead of buying coffee from various franchise outlets.
