Closed Funds That Open
May 12th 2010 15:46
I've made investments in the past and made money. After 9/11 the making money on stocks, bonds and mutual funds changed. Except for a work related investment that I can't take out until retirement, I sold my mutual funds that weren't performing as well at a profit.
But enough about me. I have heard that stock funds that close to new investors run the best returns or sustain the less losses. If they ever open again, it is a good idea to invest in them while you can. As always keep in mind that all investments require risk and it is better to be in it for the long term rather than a quick get rich type of short term investment.
In my current investments I have seen hundreds of dollars lost one year and hundreds of dollars gain the next. I am still way ahead of the game in the long run. The best thing to do in investments is check on them from time to time rather than daily.
One more thing, if the stock fund re-opens at a profit from when it had closed, it is a sign that it is a good investment.
So we got 3 super funds that are re-opened and maybe one should consider buying. Make sure you do your homework and perhaps talk to a broker.
Check Vanguard Capital Opportunity
Royce Special Equity
Sequoia Fund
The thing to note is that there is a minimum initial purchase. Royce seems to be the best in this category!
